As a newcomer to the Low Country of South Carolina, I am enthralled by the southern landscape. I am fascinated by the interaction of light and water, the light traveling through the Southern skies and interacting with the local, and often dense vegetation, especially, the live oak trees decked out in Spanish moss. I find creative joy in the marshes, as well as the black water swamps home to tall bald cypress trees, inviting opportunities for photographic interpretation.
